The crowdfunding window for the Safer C7 Project closes at the beginning of July.
Sue Carroll, from the Safer C7 team says “Please help us raise the balance of the money needed, so that this important community project can get underway. There have already been two accidents on the C7 since the crowd funding appeal was launched at the beginning of June. If you would like safety on the C7 – Lewes Newhaven Road – to be improved for everyone who uses it, please make a contribution now, by going to crowdfunder.co.uk/p/c7“
The crowd-funding appeal was launched by the Safer C7 Project to raise the balance of funding needed to commission a ‘whole road study’ of the C7 Lewes to Newhaven road. The estimated cost of the study is £40,000, of which half has already been committed from parish councils and other bodies. Leaflets have been delivered to all households and can also be found online here.
